IFFCO entered into joint ventures with FR Waring (Holdings) Proprietary Limited and the African Sun Oil Group to form IFFCO South Africa in 2016.
Our core focus is the trade of bulk vegetable oils and fats to South Africa and neighbouring countries, where we are recognised as active participants in the market for the supply of crude and refined soft oils, palm oil products, tallow, oil seeds, glycerine and oilcake protein.
Through our global network of suppliers in the major producing and origination nations of South America, West, and Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia, we are able to offer a full range of vegetable oils and fats to buyers in our core markets. In addition, our business is today vertically integrated in the vegetable oils and fats value chain, through local asset investment in oil seed crushing, vegetable oil refining, toilet and laundry soap manufacturing, as well as table and industrial margarine production.
The Africa Sun Oil Group of companies comprises an integrated food processing business, which produces, markets, and distributes a range of cooking oils (soya, sunflower, palm, maize, canola, olive and coconut oil), soaps (personal care and laundry), shortening, margarine, and candles for household and industrial use.
