We are committed to contributing to a sustainable, meaningful, and achievable shift in food systems by continuously improving our value chain practices protecting the environment, making efficient use of natural resources, and enhancing the quality of life in the communities in which we operate.
At IFFCO, we are committed to constant improvement across all 12 sustainability programme strategies. We will maintain accountability and transparency by regularly reporting on our progress via our website, social media platforms, and annual ESG reports.
In 2022, we conducted the organisation’s first materiality assessment to identify the most relevant ESG topics for IFFCO and to direct our focus on areas of improvement in our ESG strategy. The assessment aimed to identify IFFCO’s sustainability priorities in terms of critical issues for stakeholders and any impact on our long-term success.
We sought input to help determine focus areas for our ESG strategy from 287 key stakeholders. Of those, 148 completed a survey covering 24 ESG topics. From the completed surveys, 40% were internal stakeholders, and 60% were external (mainly suppliers, customers, financial institutions, consulting companies, and NGOs) from different countries of operation.
* The complete list of ESG topics can be found in the GRI Content Index in the Appendix of the sustainability report.
